I used google maps to find a coffee shop around 7 p.m. in the evening and I somehow ended up in El Raval. I could tell right away that the look and feel of this place was a bit edgier than other parts of Barcelona. This district of Barcelona is widely known as one of the most crime ridden parts of the city. I would avoid it at night, especially if I were alone. Once I saw that the sun was starting to set, I was ready to make my way back to the safer parts of town. Join me for a walk through El Raval and see what you think of it.
