Wondering into Kabukicho: Tokyo’s Yakuza and Red Light Zone

Went out for a walk and ended up in an area called Kabukicho, which is located in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo. I looked it up and this is considered to be the “red light” zone, which apparently has many establishments run by the Yakuza. I felt safe to me, but based on crime stats, it’s higher risk that other areas so make sure not to follow the touts and go into shady bars that may rip you off.
