Burglaries force Sherman Oaks restaurant to adopt a cashless model

A series of burglaries at a Sherman Oak eatery has forced the restaurant to adopt a cashless model to prevent future break-ins. Other businesses along the Ventura Boulevard area may be following suit.

Owners of the HomeState diner said this was the seventh time burglars have targeted their business. They’ve hired extra security and will no longer be accepting cash for safety.
