Crossing the Mexico border into Tijuana and taking a walk to downtown TJ is a fairly straightforward process. In this episode of The Happy Trekkers show I explain how to travel from the USA to the Zona Centro (or Zona Norte) area. While this is not a full tour of Centro it is a guide that hopefully you can use to confidently and safely visit the city.

After having watched the video I think you will see that it is not that hard to walk into downtown Tijuana but that being said it’s about a mile and the cab is $5 USD so it’s a safe and simple cab ride. I would say that most people should probably just take a cab. There is nothing special to see along the route so walking it is not necessary.
