So on this episode I wanted to share my birthday experience with you guys. This year I turned 32 and was completely surprised by the many adventures Byron had planned for me. My birthday is December 19th and this year fell on a Thursday . I wasn’t planning anything out of the ordinary and just assumed Byron and I would do dinner somewhere, but he had other plans. So, I want to share a play by play of the events and what eventually turned into a few days of surprises. I had gone to get my lashes done on Wednesday at around 1 so when I was finished I had stopped by the office just to say hello to the staff and friends as Byron had informed me they had something for me. When I arrived they sang happy birthday and gave me there best wishes. It was a few moments before I was planning to head out when I received an email from American Airlines advising me to check into my flight for 6:15. I looked at Byron and said we’re going to Miami and he said yes go home and pack. So mind you it’s like 3 o clock at this point and I’m not packed, I haven’t arranged anything for our dogs, and certainly hadn’t set anything up for Peyton, but luckily Byron had all of the loose ends already planned for. When we first arrived we stayed at a hotel right on the beach called The Cadillac. The first night we arrived we grabbed dinner at the hotels Italian restaurant and then went to bed early as Byron had the next day already planned for. The following morning was December 19th and was the actual day of my birthday. Byron had a Miami tour planned which was a city tour that showed all of Miami’s most popular attractions. The tour showed Nikki Beach, the Versace Mansion, and the News Cafe. All of which are some of south beaches most visited and sought out tourist attractions. The next part of the tour showed us the Wynwood District. The Wynwood district was established in 2003 and is made up of several buildings decorated in graffiti. The next stop was Little Havana where we had lunch and I had some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. The name of the coffee place I visited is La Colada and it has wonderful gourmet Cuban coffee. The coffee I had was Calle 8, and was exquisite. We also grabbed a quick bite to eat and I had creole shrimp and Byron had a yummy chicken dish. After the tour Byron had a wonderful dinner planned at Bourbon Steak House by Michael Mina. This restaurant is located inside of the J.W. Marriott and is in Aventura, Miami. This restaurant was definitely 5 star and had wonderful drinks, food, and the ambiance was elegant. So after dinner in my mind the day was over, but then once again Byron had something more planned and had a VIP section reserved at Tootsies Cabaret. Tootsies is an upscale Cabaret and offers great adult entertainment. The following day was low key and relaxing and Byron again had some more surprises planned. One surprise he had was for me to play a higher limit of poker than I normally do. I played 2-5 at the Hollywood Hard Rock Casino and although I didn’t win my experience was a winning and memorable one. Finally after the casino we headed to my first ever NBA game and it was the Miami heat vs. NY Nicks. Luckily, the Miami Heat won and we sat in the 4th row from the court. The seats were impeccable and the lounge and audience were next level. The trip was amazing and the memories made were priceless. I want to also share a special shout out to my other half, Byron as he always outdoes himself and is the best at making me feel special.
