Troops are shown doing physical training; drilling with rifle and bayonet, and machine gun; and cleaning weapons.
The regiment participates in field exercises prior to going on maneuvers. They are shown moving cross- country to seize an enemy hilltop, with mock explosions going off as they ford a river.
