Madrid police enforce partial lockdown

(21 Sep 2020) Madrid local police on Moday stopped and questioned drivers at a checkpoint on the perimeter of a working class district, as a part of new measures to combat the spread of coronavirus.
Parts of the city are now in a partial lockdown as COVID cases continue to rise.
Spain has reported more than 100,000 new cases in the last two weeks, with more than a third in the Madrid region.
In total, Spain has had 640,040 confirmed cases, with 30,495 deaths.
